Sweet Sensations Candy Buffet, Nautical Themed, Vintage Furniture, Bridal Fair by the Sea

May 2011 Bridal Fair by the Sea hosted their first "Romance on the Water" Bridal Fair at the Dana Point Sailing Center. What a beautiful venue and setting for an awesome Bridal Fair. Awesome forward thinking vendors and hip brides were in full swing last Sunday and it was a privilege to be a part of! We met some really cool Brides and made some good contacts. Special thanks to Krista Jon for the pretty florals and those blue frosty containers for the florals. So amazing!  Also to Archive Rentals for use of their amazing Antique blue buffet table and Bridal Fair by the Sea for throwing an amazing event.  This is my favorite table to date! Also to Mieke Snepvangers photography for the amazing photos I get to share. :)
I had fun theming this buffet to the whole Harbor/Boat/Ocean feel.  Also these Rock candy lamp shades were a fun project as well. I'm thinking about trying out a candy chandelier next.
Brides- I'm really wanting to add some candy to your centerpieces and arches and I have some great ideas. So let's get talking. ;)

Birthday Candy Buffet, Little Mermaid Theme

Ok now this was a fun one! Between using some "treasure chests" filled with Rock candy treasures, Fish Kabobs, Shells and starfish this turned out to be one cute little table!  Thank you Jillian for letting Alana and I stay for the party too.  She had a blast tagging along with the 'big girls'!  :)

Henry's 60th Birthday Buffet!

So I was able to do a really fun Retro themed Candy Bar for someone really special.  My husband's uncle Henry turned 60 so we had to do something super fun!  We opted for an Oh Henry! theme which was a hit at the party.  Retro throwbacks included Oh Henry! Bars, Candy cigarettes, Atomic fireballs, Necco wafers (my daughter's fav), Orange Slices, Wax bottles, Candy buttons, Rootbeer Barrels and Sugar daddies (labeled Who's your DADDY!?)  A favorite indeed.  We also came up with some fun candy themed centerpieces for the tables that included the old fashioned lemon heads, an assortment of awesome lollipops and Candy buttons! Very cute.

Chloe's Sweet Shoppe on Melissa Lyn Photography Blog

As promised, here is the information on where to get those gorgeous cookies that were a part of that Sweet Shoppe themed sweets bar we did!

Just a quick little note... :)

So being pregnant with my second child is proving to be a little more challenging this time around as I have a toddler to chase around!  I haven't been updating my blog as much as I would like. I have been busy with some fun candy buffets and I will be posting a few pics shortly. Have a great day!!! :)

A First Birthday Party "Sweets" table

So when I met Melissa, she was already planning a Sweets Table for her daughter's first birthday party.  We decided candy was just what it needed to bring it all together!  Her sister helped with the chocolate dipped marshmallows (so cute) and the chocolate covered strawberries. She had another friend who's a baker make her the cute sparkly cupcakes and pinwheel cookies. I'm still trying to get the name of that bakery because those cookies are so awesome! After much collaboration, this was the final masterpiece and it turned out awesome! I also added some more fun candy touches around the party with jars of matching jelly bellies on the tables as centerpieces and accenting the drink table. The "Sweet Shoppe" Birthday was sooo cute. I want to do one for my next little girl! Thank you so much Melissa!
